The EoECPH is working collaboratively with NHS England and NHS Improvement on this procurement with an aim of providing a procurement compliant route to market for UK Ambulance Services wishing to procure vehicles suitable for Ambulances (type b emergency ambulances and rapid response vehicles) and Passenger Transport.
- the framework will provide a legally compliant and competitive route to market to undertake further competitions for the conversion of specialist ambulance vehicles.;
- the framework will support the recommendations Lord Carters’ review into unwarranted variation in NHS ambulance trusts;
- the framework will provide opportunities and associated benefits for standardisation, including a national standardised van based doubled crewed accident and emergency ambulance in England.
The framework with have no direct award capability, and all call offs will be as a result of a further competition(s).
