The framework agreement is for the supply, installation and maintenance of bus stop infrastructure and bus shelters equipment as defined in the specification and pricing schedule. Hampshire County Council (‘the Authority’) has a network of bus routes and services which are operated commercially and under support by the authority. Across this network there are approximately 8 500 bus stops, of which 7 000 are without shelters and a further 1 500 are with shelters. This framework will enable the continued deployment of bus stop infrastructure following the recent successful funding applications under the Local Sustainable Transport Fund (LSTF) that include 3 key projects, Hampshire Sustainable Travel Towns (HSTT), Access to National Parks and Transport for South Hampshire.

The services will be delivered over two separate lots:

Lot 1: Supply, Installation and Maintenance of Bus Stop Infrastructure,

Lot 2: Supply, Installation and Maintenance of Bus Shelters.

The value of the framework is approximate as it is based on, and dependent on, the successful outcome of funding applications, that may be made for small scale deployments or major transport schemes. The framework will allow for call-off contracts for the maintenance of procured equipment for a period of up to 6 years from the framework commencement date.
