Waste & Recycling Tenders

For most public and private sector commissioners, their waste services are a necessary commoditised cost. We know that intelligent management of waste across an estate can yield direct cost benefits, as well as potential shared revenue streams. Whether it is collection of food waste in Scotland, combined waste from defence sites, or decommissioning surplus assets; the sector is finding new and interesting ways to help buyers reduce their environmental impact and derive returns.

The strict legislative and regulatory framework which surrounds waste management can act as a constraint to innovation in waste tenders. Often the challenge faced by bidders is conveying those opportunities for improvement within a compliance-driven questionnaire and commercial proposal, and this is where our team come into their own. We will analyse the waste tender and find every instance where you can offer more than compliance, and where necessary we will use early engagement and clarifications to help create new opportunities to do so.

Commissioners value data, and look for partners who can help them interpret and act upon it; we will always encourage bidders to find ways to generate and use waste data on their contracts to drive improvements. Our approach to waste tenders involves closely mapping every aspect of each waste stream, understanding the journey for each and conveying the key data and best practice within that stream.
